Need opinions on parts to get

So after I get my eclipse and get it to pass e-check I am going to have more money to throw into my build. I need pulleys, heads, cam, and a new carburetor. Does any one have any opinions on aluminum pulleys? Some old guy told me they warp is this true? What are some heads that are cheap but good and what kind of cam should I get. As far as the carburetor goes my step dad knows someone who paid scrap price for a truckload of demon carburetors I am thinking about a shiny polished aluminum 650 cfm?

Aluminum doesn't warp like some old school folks like to say it does. Aluminum pulleys are fine. The biggest drawback of aluminum pulleys is the water pump pulley will wear a groove over time from the serpentine belt. They still last forever though. As far as cheap heads go, used heads are a good investment. 99% of the time you will get your money back out of used parts. Find some good used aluminum heads (Trick Flow, Canfield, AFR, etc.). What cam, carburetor, etc you need depends on the rest of the combination, your goals and how much money you have to spend.

I have seen a few pulleys bend but that was years ago. I run them and never had an issue..really most of the power you get back from using them is from the crank pulley
