I can pick one up already running for 350 but I wanna know if its worth picking up or if I should wait and try to find an older one.

it's not a roller, but i'd buy it for 350 as long as it carries good oil pressure and doesn't smoke or knock.

haven't gone and looked at it yet but he said its still in the truck, runnin, w/ no leaks or smoke. I'll believe it when I see it though. I just wasn't sure if it was worth gettin because I know the older blocks were stronger but can't find anywhere how much power this year block would be able to handle. I have an 89gt roller I wanna put a carbed 351w in and I have a c4 w/ a shift kit I was gonna throw a stall in and some 373 or 410's in the rear. Just wanna make sure I get a good block that can handle 600+hp down the road after I rebuild it.

700-800 hp. Mostly depends on rpms and the rods you use. the blocks are good to 700+, but you will spin a bearing at much over 6800 rpms unless you opt for some main caps.

If it runs good it is worth $350. Probably not a roller block but you can put a roller cam in anything. You don't need to use 5 liter specific roller cams. Cam companies have been making roller cams for Ford engines since long before Ford even thought about putting a roller cam in a Mustang.

Ford F series article (applies to Bronco)
1988 saw the SuperCab offered in a shorter (139-inch versus 155-inch) wheelbase and all engines were now fuel injected, including the 5.0- and 5.8-liter V8s.

Ok guys I'm not saying it came w/ a carb. that is what I want to on it. I don't want EFI. Pretty sure that means the guy already swapped it. Just wanted to know how much power it could handle and if I should get it or not cuz I hear how the older blocks were stronger but didn't know how strong the newer blocks were. Thanks for all the help I think I'm gonna check it out and prolly pick it up.

That's too bad.
The main thing is the earlier blocks are thicker. All of the newer (80s and up) blocks are thin wall castings to save weight and cut costs. The cylinder walls are thiner and the main webbing is thinner on the newer blocks. But even the newer casting 351W blocks can handle a fair amount of horsepower.
