It is all sound preference. Borla is a damn good brand, but Magnaflow sounds good as well. It is really up to you man, but if i could afford Borla, i would definitely go for it.

700 bucks for a cat back system!!! Wow i'll stick with my cheap-ass great sounding Flo-Master American Thunder 2 chamber system...BBK Hpipe and longtubes. Got all that for about that price with stainless exit pipes..

I originally planned on getting the Flowmaster American Thunder but I just purchased a Magnaflow catback on Ebay for $325 shipped. The main reason I went with Magnaflow is it is all stainless. It is also supposed to have a good tone and according to the exhaust charts is only 1db quieter than the Flowmaster at 2000 and WOT. Summit sells the Magnaflow for $439 so I think I got a good deal, he should have a couple left. I submitted a best offer of $275 plus shipping.

Out of curiosity, what were you bad experiences? I have had a Borla catback on my 2000 V6 for 110,000 miles (and the exhaust was used when I bought it). It has more of an exotic tone, but is the best sounding V6 system I have heard. The big negative I see to Borla is cost, I think the MSRP on the system I have is over $700. I picked mine up for under $300 used. On the flipside, I would have probably replaced the system at least once by now if it wasn't stainless, so if you are keeping the care for a long time, it may not be any more expensive for the Borla.

I was wondering the same thing. Borla is some of the best made stuff on the market.

Yeah, flows sound good and are not as $$$$, but then again the borlas and bassanis are stainless thats where the extra $$$ comes into play. I know when I did my exhaust I didnt want to have to replace it ever again do to rust and what not. Quality parts cost $$$.
