Hey guys Im new here and I was just wondering what are some things I can do to my car to make it safer? Other than a Roll-Bar and a 5 Point Harness?

what are you doing with it...drag racing
the verts have some extra support because of the lack of a roof.... just put down what your plans for the car and it will be easier to help |

considering it weaker than a coupe or hatch and you talking about drifting why skip saftey.....go whole cage

you can make gobs of power with the 5.0 and have it very streetable...a cage has nothing to do with streetable cars

Are you planning on drifting on a course or are you just planning on doing this on the streets ( I hope not) but older mustangs especially beets would not be my first choice for a drift car

IMO i would ditch the convert, there are the most heaviest out of all the foxbodys... probably not the best for drifting.

I would possibly do courses but I meant more like church parking lots of a sunday with permits and 10 other people.

get a 240sx for parking lot drifting. if youre stuck on the idea of the vert invest in a welding course and a bunch of good tube steel and get to supporting the body to get rid of the flex. a full cage will help a lot. sway bar, subframe connectors, lowering springs, etc...
