You may have something wrong with the install but keep in mind that a cam change will bring torque/HP changes at different RPM's as well. I don't know but maybe with your combination, the E cam gave up a little more of the bottom for some at the top. That coupled with maybe a slight timing, fuel, or degree issue may be what is wrong. Measuring performance by doing a burnout is about as accurate as using the "ass in seat feel". Neither are useful or accurate

+1 You need a plan what to buy so you can figured out what works best with a certain combo.It makes thing alot easiier when you know what to expect instead of randomly buying parts and hoping they work together.Yeah im certain that you need new plugs if was dumping fuel you might want to smell your oil make sure there is no gas in it you might have to change it too.

either look into 4:10s or a high stall. I have an fcam in my 5 speed fox, the power band starts a little higher then expected... say if I'm trying to speed up in traffic and I shift into 2nd early and try to speed up, I have to wait tull I reach 3000-3500 rpm to go any were due to my 3:55s. The car will do a break stand any day of the week though.

its not an either or, with that cam you HAVE to go with a looser convertor. Gears he says he has 3.73's if thats true those are fine, swap the convertor to a 2400-2800 and you will see a whole new car.

I guess you missed the part about getting through traffic. And no my fcam doesnt come alive tull pretty high in the rpms

Im sure a car with a big cam high flowing heads and intake has no problem getting through traffic.

I do I do, 242/248 .605/.630 vic jr's ported and flowed 3500 stall c4 rips through traffic like its nothing, idle mid range, high rpms, just up and moves oh yeah 3.55's and 28x10.5x15's

351 too.... sounds delicious. But I have p heads, stock rockers, the fcam, and a cobra intake. If I had the money I'd get 4:10s in a heart beat! It might be a fun na car if it had them but I'm trying to get this blower on. Still fun to do 4500k launches on drs though.
