Making progress.... un-ghetto rigging my 88

Well, I picked up this 88 over the past summer. It has a lot of great parts but it was just put together sloppy. So this winter I started to rip it all apart and redo it and while in the process change a few things.

Traded the AOD setup for a 3550 setup and picked up a nose from an 85. I still haven't made up my mind if I'm gonna change the front end quite yet.

The engine bay before the motor came out.

Now I need to change the timing chain cover gasket on the motor and toss that back in. Hopefully it should be running this weekend.

15x8 w/ 275/50/15 MT Drag Radials
I can't remember what the fronts are I think they are 3 1/2's
As for the head light they are these

Lets hope it runs good. Twelve hours after it was dropped off an intermittent miss showed up. After digging through everything I finally found that the ignition switch was melted. I replaced that last night and installed a new pigtail. Only time will tell if its fixed or not.

Shooting for low 10's this year. I have only had the car to the track once this past year. It ran so bad that night I won't even go into detail on it.

That's what i was thinking, but it isnt my car.
Hope you fixed the problem, but nothing is ever easy man. If we didnt run into little problems then it wouldnt be fun. lol

I never said the motor wasn't capable of going faster than what i am aiming for this year. With my son and renovating the house money is going to be a little tight for more safety equipment.
