I Post Entirely Way Too Much
|
i just did a quick skim, but I didnt see any info on the motor. Thats the biggest mistake people make in carb selection. Just throwing a carb on the car that doesnt work with the parts needed. cam duration, manifold rpm range. If its a stockish 351 i wouldnt go any bigger than a 650 tops.
throw the quadrabog away, and as stated make sure the vacuum source is good

I don't remember for sure what the Cadillac 500s had off the top of my head but I thought it was something odd like 745 or something like that. Either way, Quadrajet and horsepower shouldn't be used in the same sentence because it is a contradiction of terms.

Personaly i just dont like dead guages. I used my MSD to trigger the stock tach and have a Autometer also, They both read the same all the time. I have wondered if the tach thing isnt a triggering issue. Not that it matters
