Electric fan

I have been told that a twin electric from a t-bird will bolt right up to my 84 stang. If this is true does anyone have a "how to" wireing and relay help?
thanks

You can get them off taurus's too. There are a few people that have done this. Try searching around or someone might help out

don't know about the tbird efans but the dual efan setup out of Dodge Intrepids has worked from me.

it's the same exact efan as this one here

Allstar Performance

It comes in :

1998 to 2004 Chrysler Concordes, 300M's and Dodge Intrepids as well as Chrysler LHS's in 99,2k and 2001. There a two speed setup (hi low) so perferrally you'd want to wire them up to a relay on low or use a controller to use both speeds there's a zillion ways to wire up efans just depends on preference and how safe you want it but be warned that the stock alts in foxes suck balls especially when adding an efan. Also you'll have to trim the shroud a little to get it to fit but it's not a big deal at all.

Here's a pic of one on my daily driver to show how slim they are
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...DSC06773-1.jpg

Aside from that I have a efan out of a taurus on my turbo 91 gt wired to a relay on low speed an has never had a problem.. the taurus fan isn't a dual fan setup but it's two speed and flows someting like 3000cfm which will cool just about aything

Thanks. The t-bird fits right in, however i am trying to find a way of running the wireing. Should i use the switch like the 2.3 lt use on the heater hose that turns the fan on? or is there an easier way?

Something like the Flexalite 185 fan kit for the Mustang does not draw a lot of power and will work with the stock alternator with no problems. Used pick-n-pull fans like the Taurus fans and similar are cheap but not so cheap if you need to get a 130A alternator, wiring, and thermo kit etc. as well.
Just throwing that out there.

Which one flows better the dual e-fan setup or the taurus or how about the lincoln mkIV fan?

I live in albuquerque I used my tauras fan all summer long blasting the ac on low and was fine. There was only like two occasions that the temp came up higher than 180 and I flicked the fan to high and it brought the temp right back down. They work awesome. I rocked stock alt with fan on high and ac and it was a little low on the volt gauge but ran and started fan. Tauras fan ftw

I agree on my 91 it has the stock rad and fms waterpump and with the taurus efan on low speed wired to a relay/ignition i've never had problems

The dual dodge intrepid setup flows 2800 cfm, the taurus flows 3000 and the lincoln mkiv flows 4000. If you do use the lincoln one make sure you know it pulls serious amps, I've read somewhere in the 60 amp zone and requires a bunch of cutting to fit but that's not hard to do.

You would have to either hook it up to a controller or to a temp sensor with relays but either route you choose has been done before just search on corral.net you'll see.. they use those fans allot over there and the info in link I posted above could help you out as well Mustangmotorsport - Mustangs and a whole lot more!
