Removing Distribuitor

How hard is it to remove the Distributior? I need to install a new Pick up coil in the Distribuitor.

you don't have to pull the distributior to replace the pick up coil

one bolt but you better take note of how it's sitting or else you'll be redoing your timing after you slide the dizzy back in

Don't I have to move the rotor to the #1 spark plug?

If it ran fine before dont move anything. leave it in the position it is in. Make a line with a marker on the plastic housing where the rotor tip is facing. then try to mark it where the dist shaft meets the block. (there should already be a small notch.) If there isn't make a line on the block and the dist shaft. unbolt the hold down bolt and pull it out. getting it back in is kinda tricky but dont force it in.
