need a new clutch cable.

My clutch cable is adjusted all the way out, and its still hard to get in gearm shift fast, or slow sometimes. So it looks like I stretched the stocker. And not going into gear has made my tranny whine like a mother effer cause when racing it allways grinds. So I'm tossing some fluid in her today and my next investment shall be the cable.

How much do they run and are they hard to install?

Love u lol... Will do. I'm going to destroy my tremec if I continue this route. It leaks a little and whines on the highway now on the street, and grinding gears doesn't help. Is it hard to install?

i used a funnel with a tube on the end and there are two "screws" on the side of the tranny..use a 3/8s ratchet to loosen..i put the tube in the top one and wen it starts to come out i stop and tighten..u shouldnt be able to put a quart in unless u been driving around low..a tranny should really hold its fuild..its not like an engine that can burn oil or anything..if u want to jus put some new in for the good of it, jus change it all

its leaking..well its either goin out the front or back...u probably live on an incline to im guessing??wen u take the top screw out it doesnt necessarily mean it needs it..thats right where its should be..but if u try putting some in and i does take it, then ur low..look for grease on front and rear of tranny

The car is parked on an incline, but it drips on flat surfaces as well. When I pulled it into the garage it left a nasty drop. Enough to quench my thirst.

Take care of that grinding fast... My started grinding going into third and now I no longer have a third or fourth gear!!!

Pulling the motor and tranny now and getting ready to rebuild both...

Was that your trans or did you destroy it with the clutch cable. I can't promise its my clutch cable, but its getting harder and harder to go into gear. and then when I try to go shift fact it grinds like the clutch isn't engaging fully.

Im trying to make sure its my cable doing this, but the car is getting harder and harder to go into gear. But when I shift without the clutch its ten times easier. Sound about right.

and im on a king cobra clutch is a quadrent worth it.
