he asked if i would provide him refrences of coustomers whom i have built transmissions for to make sure i know what i am doing...

maybe if i am providing refrences like a shop i should charge like a shop what do u think?

i gave hime some phone numbers but its gonna be bias cause all the numbers i have of people i have built trannys for are now friends of mine..

don't u offer some sort of garuntee with ur trannies?

i remeber a few threads about u refunding money and what not.....

i if he wants references, charge him like a shop

I don't see a problem with asking for references, he is willing to pay $XX and wants piece of mind that you are not going to screw you over. If it works out for him, you will have another person to use for a reference

i dont have a written gaurentee but i tell most everybody espically one i sell that if they have problems with it call me or bring it to be and i will fix it.

but i wont give anything written cause its not worth anything i am not a shop plus if someone beats on it hard or gives it a stage 3 clutch and destroys it and expects me to fix it i cant do that.
