Freeze plugs...

Ok so my friend just got his 86 vert back from the shop to get a new tranny. But it needs a new freeze plug just behind the oil dipstick. Is it possible to change it out on a driveway? We wanna get this thing on the road already lol. Let me know guys. I already got the plug. Thanks

If you drop the exhaust you should be able to get at it, if you can't hit it with a hammer try a couple blocks of wood or steel and push it in with a prybar.

they also make freeze plugs that are rubber w/ a bolt and washer setup so you push it in and when you tighten down the bolt it expands the rubber and seals it. Its a quick fix. If you can get the real one it would be best but if you're in a hurry put it in.
