auto to manual?
what does it take to convert an auto to manual?completely.of course the tranny and the 3 peddle manual assembly but what else.and what do i have to do completly? also has anyone here done this?

cool thanks that was good info,but the pics he described which wernt there would be a big help.and im not putting in the t5 im going with probably a nash 4+1 because the t5 cant handle near the torque of the 460 thats going in

alot of people say it is cheaper and easier to just buy a manual. I would have to agree but i love my car and was thinking of swapping but not now. Good luck with the swap.

What year 'stang are you working on? I'm in the same process with a 80' I had a car to get the parts from. An 86' Capri. It's not a 3 pedal assmbly. Just the brake and clutch. The clutch uses a cable for the throw out. You'll have to cut the hole for it to go through the fire wall. The simpler thing to a point are the wiring for back-up light and stuff. Getting the parts from a junk yard my be a bit of a bear with out buing a donor car for the process. Then your conversion to a 460! Wow, You'll have to fab the cross member, and get the shaft made. I'll try to keep up see how it goes!

k i kno this thread is long-since dead but here's some info on a T5 swap
