ohh and yesterday i went to check a 89 lx convertible AOD, the car itself looked nice, had a coul hood and a saleen wing, he had done some stuff to the tranny and the car was really fast but has a really big oil leak that i couldent find where it came from, the car made some weird noices underneath the car and interior was really f*cked up lol....he wanted 2.1k and he was giving me a 5lug convertion and some 5 lug cobra rims from a 2000 i think...but after trying the auto tranny im 100% sure tha im going with a 5 speed, that car was fast and all but not fun at all without the t5 lol so my quest for the right one continues
oil leak is probably the back of the intake , the gaskets are known for falling down in the lifter valley and then blowing oil out of the back of the engine and then running down the bellhousing

def. go with a 5spd automatics are a bore. Ive owned both when I had AOD couldnt wait to get back in a 5spd. Be patient you'l find the right car evntually and its better than rushing into a headache.

The car you should buy is the one YOU really like and that catches your eye. If you would prefer a 5 speed then DO NOT settle for an automatic because you will regret it and just want to get rid of it and get a 5 speed.
That being said...I am partial to the 2 tone 92 as I have a 87 green/gray GT. The Mr. Mustang fella might be taking advantage of you as you are new to stangs and he thinks he knows it all and can pull one over on you.
I have known people like this before and they are complete assclowns...but on the other hand if he is genuinly nice he wouldnt be a bad contact to have and to plug you into the scene
To end this long rant...buy the car you like with the options you really want and try to make sure its mechanically sound

ok so heres the deal, like 2 weeks ago i saw this 91 silver GT 5 speed, with i think they r saleen rims clean paint, clean engine, it was salvage..they guy wanted 2.5k and i told him 2k cash and he said yes cause he owned a tow yard and it was gonna be a lien sale..ok i called him the next day with cash in hand and he said he had another guy comming like in 10 min...so he sold it to the guy....i was really bummed about it...now the car was relisted in craigslist...with the owner that bought the car...but hes asking 3.5k i called him and everything and he said that the car will not pass smog cause it dosent have cats, so i told him about that i was going to buy it blablabla and i told him 2k cash and he agreed to 2.5k cash...so he said that he paid the registration and paperwork but hasent done all cause he dosent have money to pay for a (wink)smog(wink) so what do u guys think? i can get this ride for 2.5k

91 GT 5 speed magnaflow exhausts, bbk headers, intake, optima battery dvd radio, 2 amps and 2 12's subs
