Lt's ????


i'm looking at headers should i order long tubes or not??? i'm trying to find a good set on summit and didn't see any. Any advice?? any personal experience with certain brands??

got ya any particular brand i should look for?? i was thinking BBK but i dunno of other brands a friend of mine has kooks LT's on his 04 Mach I and he said he likes them alot.

I think most people like mac. I have shorties and a bbk x pipe with cats and it drags like a mofo.

i hate mac for headers, along with a lot of other people i know, at least for a 5.0 application, it may be different for a new edge setup ......kooks are imo the best bar none, but you will pay the price for them....there are also a lot of other "cost efficient" options like bbk, hooker, heddman, or bassani. they are all quality parts most of the time, but the only thing i would recommend is that you get either stainless or a ceramic/jethot coating because chrome looks really crappy after not too long....and if you have an aod your really limited to mac for longtubes, unless you wanna do a little fab work with a bfh.....

I really like my BBK long tubes, but my engine is basicly stock on my fox and I didn't notice much power gains but it does sound pretty good. And like baine said if your auto you are pretty much limited to MAC unless you do some modification/fabricating

nah i have a T-5, but my problem is just not knowing which brand....i mean i'ma go with the ceramic coated. I just don't wanna waste the money on some junky shit, i've heard BBK is kinda crappy as far as quality goes. But thats hear say. But my friend in the Mach I put the kooks jet coated headers on his car and wrapped them. and he said he could tell and huge difference in the power and picked up almost .3 in the 8th mile just off the headers.

I agree with everthing except the bbk junk.. I have heard nothing but good things about them but both of mine leak around the primary at the flange..

the bbk swap headers I have so far have been problem free, they fit right around the c4 and fit like a glove
