Cool

I think shaved door handles are okay on some cars, but not sure on any Stang.
Guess it depends on what look or style you are going for.

I did a photoshop of mine without handles and it looks sexy as hell, of course it's black so it's not nearly as noticable either

Hey that is just part of being on a forum, you have to take the B.S. along with the help. You can get a ton of info off of this forum and you can take a ton of shit from people that are legends in there own mind. Read as much as you can and you will figure out who is helping and is just making brainless comments, some of those comments are pretty damn funny.Don't get to pissed

my fox has shaved handles

i used the door lock solinoid and mounted it to the latch... works perfect, no need for expensive kits. and for the track u just need a way for them to open the door manually from the outside, i just tie a string around the inside handle and hang the rest out da window.

post up some pics when you get time....here is something else to think about if you are shaving the handles you want a very good body shop to fill in where they used to be cause if a bad welder gets hold of them your doors will have more waves than a surf competition in hawaii.....and i think you said you car is black, no? if so you are probably going to have to paint the whole car if its original paint or do a LOT of blending and you might as well paint the whole thing if you have to blend the WHOLE side. When I buy cars: blended paint=wrecked car / complete repaint on older car= new paint / complete repaint on newer car= badly wrecked car

ya you can run with shaved door handels but you have to have another form of mechenism like a pull chord clearly marked pull to open somewhere neer the door.

If you want to shave them then go for it. I think the door handles as well as the fuel door and antenna just break up the natural lines of the car. I have already shaved the antenna and plan on shaving the door handles and fuel door in a couple years. ( Other mods come first for me, as well as the constant repair that comes with owning an older car)

I'm glad you support 93hatch's opinion but the reason for the whole thread was as follows

Originally Posted by stfudvs View Post

can anyone recommend a kit

i need to know if i will need Solenoids or actuators or what pound rating i would need, 35lbs, 50lbs ? 60 ??
It wasn't intended to be a poll about opinions nor does he or anyone else care. Not trying to start anything but lets keep it to the point. He's looking for helpful info, not criticism for his mods.
