rodenburg, or anyone, have you had any problems installing them? Did you have to fabricate anything to make them fit, or did you have to pull the engine to install them?

I've used many sets of BBK headers and H-pipes in the past and have had nothing but good luck with them.

I have the MAC long tubes, Mac H pipe (no cats) and MAC7995 exhaust/tailpipes on my 83 convertible.

Doubt the headers would go on easy without the engine being out and bolting them on first. Have abit of a steering coupler interference (fixed by bending metal support on steering coupler) and some contact to the frame on the passenger side. Had to wrap clutch cable with heat wrap as the bracket used to keep it off the headers wasn't sufficient, was going to burn through the cover eventually. But they sound great.

Tailpipes could have a bit more clearance around the axle/frame area as I need to adjust them away from the upper control arms every so often.

My 2 cents worth

I had no problems with the install. I did however spend several hours cutting the weld in the inlet tubes. more less porting the headers. the weld is hard as hell and is probably not worth doing but I was after every last horse

i have flow tech equal length shorties on mine and they were such a bitch to tighten the bolts because the tubes were in the way.....i'm thinking of going bbk long tubes myself. I'll never buy equal length shorties again. I don't know if it was just the brand, or they're all like that though.

unbolt the motor mounts and jack up the motor. I believe that is how some people do it.
