1992 Mustang LX with 5.0 no start

I am having a no start problem with car. It turns over and fuel pump is working but it won't fire over.

I have tested the Coil and we are getting 12 volts on both sides of it. The Red/Light Green is on the Positive side and Tan/Yellow is on the Negative side. We are getting a VERY faint spark from the coil when turning the ignition over, we seen this by plugging in a spark plug and watching it. It has an MSD Blaster 2 Coil that was on car before troubleshooting and since we have put a new Blaster 2 and now a Blaster 3 coil on it and all the same results. I have also changed the TFI module and nothing.

I am having very faint spark.

Please help....

TIA,
BJ

wait you put a plug in the coil wire that attaches to the dizzy cap? if you have a weak spark coming from the coil, thats your problem

take the multimeter put one lead on the positive terminal, and the other on the tip, where the wire goes, that should give you something like 9,000 ohms resistance.

if its way low coil is bad.

to the two terminals where the connecter attaches, do the same, should be around 5 or 6 ohms

The cap and rotor are new, the TFI module is new, we used a new Blaster 2 Coil, and now it has a new Blaster 3 coil on it. We checked the plug wires which are new Ford Racing wires and a stock set from Autozone with same results. We went and checked all the fusible links and most of the grounds.

We are still getting 12 volts on both sides the coil and I am not sure if that is supposed to be like that since 1 side is marked POSITIVE and the other side is marked GROUND.

do the resistance test, just because its getting power, doesnt mean the power is getting through the coil to the terminal

did the resistance test and everything checked out good.

I installed a MSD 6AL and getting a nice spark when key is turned on and when stop cranking but when cranking there is no spark.

Also there is 12 volts to the injectors red wire but there are not working either. I have went through a check list I found on the internet and did all the testing but won't start.

So far I have checked, changed, or tested:
1. coil - Installed new MSD Blaster 2 Coil and then again with a Blaster 3 Coil
2. TFI Module - Installed a new TFI Module on distributor
3. MSD 6AL - car was using factory ignition for other coils but I installed a new MSD 6AL to Blaster 3 Coil, MSD Box is working
4. Spark Plug Wires - checked resistance on a set of FRPP spark plug wires and everything checked out fine, wires are 3 months old
5. Ignition switch - I pulled computer from panel and disconnected plug and tested 12 volts to injectors and coil through wiring harness, everything checked good
6. Fuel Pump - checked and verified it was working
7. Inertia Switch - checked and verified switch was good
8. TPS Sensor - checked voltage and was at 1.4 volts so adjusted to .95 volts

When you say the fuel pump is working what do you mean ? do you have good fuel pressure at the rail or is the pump just making noise?

you can either buy a cheap rebuilt from like napa or what not, or the stator. Either way it has to come out. If its that old, not a bad idea to just swap in a new rebuilt

Thanks man I appreciate the help. I bought a MSD Pro Billet Distributor and installed it. It started on the first crank. Now I can start tearing my 05 a part.
