so i've made a few posts about the random problem that comes up with the car running rough etc. Especially the rough idle. no matter what i did. I took the car by a shop today asked how much they'd charge to just look at the and diagnose any problems he told me $60 bucks, so i we made an appointment he also works on mustangs and owns one. He asked me to start it up, he played with the throttle blade a few minutes watched the motor shake a lil bit, listened to the exhaust from the back of the car said he thinks the car just has a small cam in. I've made a video of the car idling maybe you guys can give me your opinions. I find it unlikely although would explain why i've had alot of kills that seemed waaaay out side of what i should be able to beat. its uploading to youtube now i'll post in a minute you think you guys could help??

only way to know for sure is to pull the upper intake and one valve cover and then use a dial caliper and magnetic base to measure the rocker arm movement , that will tell you for sure and let you know exactly how much lift the cam has

yea he was just saying it sounded like it was cammed i dunno if you can really tell that by listening though...the video is done uploading just processing i'll have it up in just a second...

there is the video...if you listen right around 38 secs. i rev it a lil bit and you can kinda notice what sounds like a cam...what you think???

Id guess no , maybe some 1.7 rockers on the stock cam , but I have seen WAY too many of these cars with cams in them , the CBAZA computers go ape shit with a cam

Can't view video but is the rest of the car stock? why would anybody put a bigger cam in a completely stock car if so because it won't yield jack chit hp wise LOL

Have you checked your motor mounts? normally engines shake due to a cracked or broken motor mount or two which is pretty common with these cars

well the motor was rebuilt about 50K miles ago...so i dunno.

I think it's a stock cam, when you reved it it sounded more like it stumbled more then anything.

i didn't listen to the car, but add another ground from the battery to the chassis, battery to the motor, and motor to the chassis...
