Coolant leak... any ideas?

So I just got a "new" '91 LX hatch... the car runs great. I put damn near 100 miles on it today and went to dinner. When I left the restaurant, the temperature went up to around 220*. When I drive it though, the temp goes down. At stop lights, it goes back up.

When I got home I popped the hood, with the engine off, and heard a hissing sound coming from behind the intake manifold, on the throttle body side. I can't see where it is coming from, but I don't feel any water coming out of the head on that side.

Any ideas?

Just a side note, I just checked the oil and coolant... There is no oil in the coolant and no coolant in the oil.

Like I said, as soon as I started moving, it went back to normal operating temperature... the hiss was definitely water coming out though. There was a small puddle under the car. I am pulling the intake tomorrow and replacing the gaskets. I will inspect further then.

did you check the lines that go to the heater core? they seem to blow on every car that I have had in the passed 10 years.
