Well i want to make it into a drag car sometime and i want an auto instead of a 5spd and this tranny has just been rebuilt and i can get it for $300 and a tremec or a better t5 is alot more exspensive in the last 2 years i've been thru 4 t5's and i'm tired of spending all that money.

a lot of guys swap in th 400s into the higher horsepower mustangs but the C6 is the ford equivilant of the th400.the C6 as long as its from a smallblock will fit (with some BFH
persuasion)and would be cheaper than a TH 400 swap.Did you consider a built AOD since they are really strong and it would be easy to swap in since they came in mustangs
plus they have an overdrive to save gas.

Well i get about 10 miles to the gallon anyways so i'm not worried about that... But i just considered this one because it was cheap and it came out of another 89gt which was still a 5.0.. Mine is a 306 with a few motor mods but its just a toy i dont ever plan on getting too serious with it just something to take out on weekends and have some fun.

Are you running slicks or drag radials or what because I ran 12.97 on ET streets with a T5 for two season in bracket class and it never missed a lick. Are you power shifting that T5?
