New radiator
I just got the fan out of a lincoln mark VIII which is going on my 89 as soon as i have time to put it on. I also got the aluminum radiator that was on the lincoln. I want to use it but it looks kinda small. will it get the job done or should i just wait till i can buy a radiator made for my car

Do you need a new radiator or do you just want the aluminum one?

dont really need it... It looks a hell of alot nicer though. Right now i have my radiator out putting head gaskets on. So i figured now is as good of a time as any to put the new one in if it will work.

I would say that if it isn't any lareger then your stock one I would just stick with the factory rad.

no, its not bigger at all. its alot smaller, but its aluminum. its the same radator as a 96-98 4.6 stang. i like the way it looks alot better and the electric fan mounts right up to it perfectly. if it wont keep my car cool then im not gonig to use it but i really really want to be able to use it. do you think it will keep the car cool?

i would say if it kept a 96-98 cool then y not yours but i'm not sure and if it's not the same size as urs it's not going to bolt up and fit the same as the other one

Give it a shot and see what happens. that is a rather large fan you are using! lol
If the rad doesn't work you could try one of these.. Ford Performance Mustang Aluminum Radiators at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! they are basically a cast of the fludyne radiators and they cooled off my H/C/I blown Fox without a problem. |
