1986 F-150

I know this is a Mustang site but its a 5.0L truck so..should roughly be the same...anyways.. i am going to rebuild the motor in my truck and im thinking in putting new heads and cam in it. something cheap but still decently good. any ideas

if its fuel injected dont, speed density is a bitch and the truck wont run right, if its the early 86 and has the 2bbl carb on it then you can build the motor up easily.

I guess you could take the fuel injection off

Put a set of 351W heads on it with a mild cam & a dual plane 4bbl intake with a 600cfm carb. That would make a good driver.

or find a 97 mountaineer or 96 explorer and get the motor from that......
