New Project...

well about 2 years ago my best friend let someone else drive his car to go cruising with the guys gf....and the guy was out racing it, and later that night i went to pick it up and it was barely running we ended up taking the motor apart and he had spun a bearing...well finally we're starting the work needed to get the Cobra back together... here are some pics of its current condition its sat on jackstands for 2 years.

I am a dealer for MMR now so let me know what parts he needs or if he wants to get a little knocked off the price of the engine , or if he needs help putting the engine together , I just did my blue car myself , the hardest part is timing the cams , and if he does do it himself he will need to get the tools to hold the cams in place , I had a local guy that let me borrow the 2 valve kit for the GTs ......I dont know anybody that has a 4V kit to borrow ....

cool i'll let him know....he was thinking about putting aggresive cams in it..but he talked to steve floyd i'm sure you know steve. Steve was telling him that with the 4V's there isn't a real need for an aggresive cam, said he'd heard way to many horror stories about the 4V heads with aggressive cams collapsing valve springs and shit even with stronger ones. and that the 4V heads breathe really good on their own anyway.

Just wondering, did any kick the dude in the nuts for racing the car and spinning the bearing? Or was the motor kinda beat on regularly?

as far as what happened to the guy that blew the car up...it was kinda shitty honestly, he had a 97 Vert cobra that he had blew up haha..and just ordered a brand new motor for it. but refused to give my friend the motor. My friend wanted to beat his ass but the guy was 5'5 and maybe 140 lbs. My friend is about 6'3 275 and benches close to 500 lbs so he figured he'd kill him if he hit him or something lol. So we waited till the guy got his cobra back on the road and he had also just gotten a brand new pearl white paint jobs, chrome deep dish bullits, new HID's and all. Well we went to his house one night poured air craft stripper all over the car about 20 mins before it rained so it'd wash all the paint off, and painted the rims, lights and top a bright neon yellow spray paint lol.
