Cam change question

I thought I might have had a blown head gasket (thankfully I didn't), and in the process I decided to throw an E cam in there. Can I use my old pushrods?

Yea, I ordered the TF spring kit... the only problem is that I mixed up the pushrods... they all look and roll perfectly though.

I have a set of 1.72 roller rockers that I was gonna use on my old car. Never did. Still debating whether or not to put them in.

location does not matter because you changed cams so the two surfaces were never together before.

The long block is stock... my intended upgrades are:

E cam and timing chain
1.72 roller rockers
headers
70mm TB

...for now.

I think you are going to hurt yourself more than help with the cam and throttle body. I would try and get a different set of heads first.

Not enough cash for heads right now... I only disassembled the motor because I thought I had a gasket leak. Already had the rockers and TB... Don't really care about performance at this point. Long as it sounds good while I work on the body and interior.

if you are going for sound just do the exhaust and wait to put the others in untill you get heads. or while you have it apart go to the junk yard and try to find a set of gt40's if you are on a budget

As long as they are not damaged, position is unimportant.

you can find used gt-40's for a couple hundred bucks..dont waste ur money on the throttle body..and if u dont care about performance and jus want sound definitely dont get the cam..make sure you have full exhaust and CAI.

If you have the heads off and think you can at least take out the EGR bump and gasket match the exhaust side of your stock heads

Jsut to make you feel better, I have my pushrods in order at first, then that changed. I put them in all mixed up. I rolled them and checked for bends but they were fine.

If your going for sound and its apart theres no point in not putting in the cam. Thats horrible advice otherwise.

1. It might hurt but your not looking for performance.
2. putting heads off doesn't require tearing it all down, so do them later if you want. No reason to tear it down twice if you can get the cam now.
