do u need the harmonic balance puller to put the harmonic balancer back on? i say i do, but my dad is trying to tell me i dont need the puller to put it back on

no its not that hard..just make sure you take the big washer out of the middle of the crank..u cant see it and it wont pull off if u dont take it out..lol i learned the hard way..

it should push on part of the way and then tap on it with rubber dead blow hammer and then use the bolt to pull it the rest of way.

HaHa no shit the first time i did mine there was a bunch of grime and I broke the fucking puller cause I didn't know there was a washer in there. I was cranking on it and that mother fucker would not move lol. Took the washer off got a new puller and boom lol.

yea i kept spinning the crank so i put part of the jack handle on the cement and the other end on the edge of the balancer so it wouldnt spin and it was bending the puller lol..then my friend asked if i took the washer out and i was like "what fucking washer???"..after that it was like cake

I would try to use the bolt to put it back on as much as possible... hitting the crank with a hammer will probably play hell on the rods and the rest of the internal parts. A rubber hammer will be a little easier on everything though.
