Ring Gear?!?!?!

Just had a bolt break off while changing the diff. There are still 9 bolts that will hold it on. Ok to run or not? I talked to a big time drag racer and he said that it would be fine. I guess I am looking for a second on it.

big time drag racer huh? i guess that means he has had 9 bolts in instead of 10?
is the threads of the bolt still in there? more than likely your gonna wind up trying it like it is anyway

get it out and fix it before it (potentially) causes other problems

Well I tried to use an easy out and it broke. I just went and bought some 3.73's and drop down from the 4.10's maybe it will help me out some at the track.

you should really find out what made the bolt vibrate out? bad shimming of the gear? or unbalaned driveshaft? make sure that when u put it back together that u use heavy duty locktite on the bolts going into the ring

I am going to 33 spline axles and a spool. I seem to twist the stock ones in half..

When I get some time going to try and remove it. Then sell the gears since I dont need them anymore.
