Cars featuring the 5.0
ive tried searching all over the internet for this and lost patience. you guys may think its useless but i figured it might be fun to post so have at er.

Are you talking all the cars that came with the windsor 5.0 cause i think theres alot out there
well i give it a shoot 69-70 75-78 (Corbra II) 79-95 Mustang 86-97 F-150 67-77 86-96 Bronco 83-91 Crown Victoria 77-97 Thunderbird 95-01 Explorer 79-86 Mercury Capri i know im missing some cars but its a start feel free to correct me about if i messed up the list |

um, F150's had them earlier than 86 and t bird stopped the 5.0 in the late 80's or early 90's.
fairmonts, fairlanes, mavericks, grand marquis, mark 7's town cars if it had a small block pre 93-94 is was more than likely a 302

A lot of those are non-HO 5.0 motors though
with different cam and firing order. The "HO" 5.0's came in the later 80's and had the 351W's firing pattern Thats a stroked out 4.6L Mod-motor. Not anywhere near the same as the old windsor 5.0's

Hey does the tunderbird come with a 5.0 HO motor cause i might be picking one up for 200 bucks also whould the auto tranny be the same one as in the foxbody tranny

The Thunderbird 5.0 was not the HO version - it looks similar but has different heads and the cam is different. What year Thunderbird is it?

if i remember correctly the only difference is the firin order. you can change that with a diff cam and rearrangin your spark wires on the dist as far as i know.

yank the junk intake and cam out of that thunderbird motor, stick a 351/H.O. cam in it, upgrade your intake and heads (stock HO intake or trickflow, holley, or carbed intake w/e) and put a set of GT40's/Gt40p or any cyl head really is better than smog heads.
A 302 is a 302, the parts in it are what makes the difference.

so would you say it would be a good idea if i can get a tunderbrid with the 5.0 and for 200-300 bucks take the motor and tranny out ,sell the tranny and build the motor and sell the rest to a pick ur parts
