331 and GT40P Heads

I have a stock 302 block I am looking at putting a 331 kit in. I currently have GT40P heads, so will these work at all with the kit? I know there is better, but cash flows is always an issue.

if cash flow is an issue you might want to rethink stroking it cause you are going to need to spend a lot more on supporting mods...and why 331 and not 347 if you are going to do it might as well go 347

yeah thats what I am saying with those heads its not worth doing the stroker. I would spend the stroker money on better heads then stroke it later

agreed nizzle, better heads ran on the 302 for now, then just swap them onto the 347

The thing is i need a new pistons on it now, the old ones have some knicks om to of them. So i was going to replace the whole rotating assembly, but i cant seem to find a stock kit. All i have found were upgrades, and i didnt want to go that far just yet.

how bad are the knicks , post up pics ? even if its just pistons , get pistons and a better set of heads will be faster than running a 331 on those heads

Stroker kits are a waste unless you are going to throw big H/C/I on to feed it.

I dont think you realize the amount of money that stroker kit is going to cost in the end and you are gonna run like crap constricted by those heads. Replace the pistons, no need for a full rotating assembly swap unless your crank is damaged. I would do new pistons and rings, maybe rods if needed... just enough to get it back in decent shape and spend the stroker money on some good heads. then later do the rebuild and the stroker kit....
