85 vs. 86 5.0 clutch difference
I am researching a new clutch for my 85 and have come across some good stuff cheap for an 86. Does anyone know what the difference is between the 85 and 86?

the 85 is a 10" the 86-01 are 10.5" You can put an 86 flywheel and clutch in it and be good to go.

maustanggt.org is a pretty good site with lots of info like this about 1979-1993 stangs. if you have further questions. just go to "Info By Year" and there ya go.
