So i bought a new cable and the ones i bought before came in 2 sizes but this one is adjustible and its about an inch to short how do i adjust it to fit. Also when putting on the old one again i lubed it and it worked fine for a few weeks.Anyone have any anserws on this problem.

do you have a steel or aluminum bearing retainer on it?

where is it snapping at?

is it rubbing on anything?

its snaping by the pedal and as far as i know its a steel bearing retainer and no its perfect on the way to the trans. it feels like its binding up though

pull your tranny out the reason it will bind is the stock bearing retainer is aluminum and they get worn down creating a groove snagging the throwout bearing causing hard shifting and added stress on the cabel the only reason the cabel will snap is if its rubbing on something or if it has added stress.
