installing intake
ok im changing out the intake manifold on my car....wat tool do i need to disconnect the fuel rails to get them outa the way....and second wat steps do i need to take to remove and reinstall the distributer to keep my timing...anything else i need to know....so far i have the upper intake off and the fuel rails unbolted...

Just twist the rails out of the way...towards the front.
Can leave the distrib in if you are weary of re-installing it.

You need what's called a fuel line quick disconnect tool

yeah but make sure you get the right one, i went to vatozone last night to get one and forgot i had aftermarket fuel lines on the car and guess what???? thats right it didnt fit

thats how me and sean did mine, just shove them outa the way. And doesnt the dizzy go through the lower intake?? how would you leave it in?

up and to the back,it just makes the install a little tricky with the diz still in , the intake dosn't go all the way around the dis shaft, thats a sbc your thinking of

yea i would jus twist them off to the side..as a matter of fact i jus did that 10 minutes ago..lol and kno i gotta remove the lower mani to get my heads off..

well i got the lower off....got a lot of coolant in the oil now though....i got clean it up and start putting back together....im also workin on a gear install and clutch cable

You sure ok with the gear install? I did mine for my first and it was a fucking pain to get right cause I'm a perfectionist about shit like that
