lol..its cake..u dont need to take anything off, nothing should be in ur way of it..jus unbolt the old one, pull strait up on it..get the new one, lube the o rings, when putting into the rail make sure its goin strait in the hole cause the rail is on an angle..screw it in..and then set the pressure..u kno how to set the fuel pressure? do u have a guage on the rail? if not that would be a good thing to get unless u have on in the car...but i have one on my rail so i can do it all right there..

mine screwed right into the rail..same side as the regulator..and when u set the fuel pressure, u take the vacuum line off of it but keep the line on the manifold, and then plug it with a screw in the mean time and set it, but remember that wen u put the line back on it will jump up about 4-5 more pounds so compensate for it..and the car has to be on to set it..im sure wen u get it dynoed they will take care of that but jus FYI..o and u loosen the nut on the regulator and use an allen key to adjust

You do know that the regulator is different in 86-93, right? Yours is held with two screws, but the olders got third, which isn't very easy to open without taking the upper off, so i've been told.

Besides, taking the upper off is just the same as changing the regulator, open few screws and take off couple vacuum hoses. Nothing to it.
