Weird oil pressure problem

Today my oil pressure gauge started to jump from 20 to 40 and back and forth really fast while driving steady. This is weird to me and dont know what to think cuz the gauge is mechanical so i doubt its the gauge. What do ya think it could be?

Thankx in advance.

Could be your oil sensor...those have acted up in both of my stangs. I just replaced mine about 2 months and its back to normal...you can get them at an parts store and they are only like $20.
Really easy to install too

How do you do that? And it was working fine for a month or so.

there should be a clear line that attaches to the back of the gauge. it will be full of oil, check to see if there are any air pockets in it. if you slightly undo the nut, this will let the oil seep out and eventually oil will shoot out. Yes the car needs to be running.
do not loosen to much, just enough to let it bleed
