For those interested...progress

Well it's been close to 2 years now that my car has been in my garage with no engine in it. Parts just circleing this shell of what was once my weekend warrior. Now with money in hand and the right motivation, the time has come to re-incarnate my once was, to my now is.
With 300hp being the average now days with gt's and cobra's I thought now is a good time to put that number behind me...
Here are some of the peices to the puzzle: D.S.S. Pro Bullet 331, Level 20 CNC Block, threaded freeze plugs, main support system, and Pro-X forged pistons. Also a set of re-worked TFS Twisted Wedge heads, AFM n-61 cam, TFS U/L street manifold (black), 30lbs injectors (w/callibrated Mass Air).
I'll post pics during the build, comments and critizism welcome.

No real reason really, I was told that it was a reliable bottom end. Also if i planned on spray, turbo, or s.c. it would have no problem handling it.

if you dont have it go with a 437 there is no reason for the 331 unless u want less power. its just as reliable even with any power adder. but glad to hear your going for it.

well, yeah... I guess for a coulpe of reasons actually. With choosing the 331 I was able to afford other upgrades like the main support system, threaded freeze plugs, and their stage 20 cnc block. Those few things make for a stronger foundation. I'd rather have that i guess than more cubes.

16 cubes isnt gonna make that much of a difference in the output of the motor.

does a 306 hugely out performe a 302 with the same parts, nope

Obviously enough to the point to where it wasn't something that I could do. I'm not sure why you're so defensive over the 347? Just relax, when you buy a motor you buy a 347, then there is now more arguing as to what out performs what, sound good?

that makes perfect sense to me! that's the reason i would go with a 331 if i ever get the funds for a new motor... good luck with getting everything in there man! if i had to guess, that motor will push over 415 at the wheels N/A. i'm anxious to see what it really does!

I dont see how a 331 was that much cheaper than a 347.. And their ""level 20 cnc'' block is nothing but a factory block that has been overated.. Last of all a girdle will do nothing but keep everything from falling out of the engine when it breaks..

Well, I'm not sure exactly how "They" would overate a stock block? I'm under the assumtion they offer the upgrade for a reason. Also as far as I am to understand it, the girdle has two purpose's: Ensure a stronger bottom end, seeing as though the 302 only has a 2-bolt main and when it brakes I have something else to catch the rotating assembly.

it really doesn't make your bottom end any stronger
