i highly doubt it. mosers usually dont rust that much around the center ring. also why does it matter? whats the spline count?

I don't see any part numbers. It is a 28 spline and it is bent.

First off many people on here own them.. Like stated most mosers dont rust that much around the center.. And why would you be worried about it if its bent?

Well I was just trying to make sure what came with my car was really what I was sold. I was told it was a moser axle when I bought the car. When I look at it, it looks like a casting of an OEM axle, like a ranger axle. I don't think the Moser axles are cast pieces? I am guessing the moser should have a flat face with a moser sticker on it. I am just trying to confirm with I am thinking.

Thanks.

Not on a Ford, but on my Mopar 8 3/4" axle it has the Moser logos on the center caps. I'd be surprised if the previous owner had taken those off. That sure looks like a casting to me.

Well here is how I see it.. unless you have a 7.5 inch rear.. why would someone upgrade all the way to moser and not pony up the cash for the few extra splines?

Moser axles will have M/E on the end not just a sticker it'd cut or engraved in the axle

Also are the studs pressed in or screwed in? I know Strange uses screw in since the axles are hardened, I would assume Moser would do the same.

Well there is something done that will not allow you to use the press in studs.

Not a Moser M, though.

I took another look at the axle I have, and I'd have to say that's a stock Ford axle. On a real Moser axle, the center area is machined and will look like it was turned on a lathe rather than cast. It's also not as deep.
