gas/exhaust smell coming from interior

when i get on my car hard, like when passing somone or accelerating quickly i smell gas, and a faint bit of exhaust in my car, i have no carpet, no rear seat, the interior is practically bare metal, should i be able to smell gas tho ? never had a mustang before unaware if something may be wrong or its normal

Do you have dumps for exhaust? If so...I would say this is why you are smelling exhaust as the exhaust is coming out right under you.
Not sure about the gas smell though

If the rubber grommet that connects to the trans tunnel and lets your e-brake cables pass through has popped out, that'll let exhaust in.

what kind of exhuast..if its dumps without turn downs, that is the issue..make sure u dont have an exhaust leak from the mid-pipe to the mufflers..and yes, not having carpet could contribute to the issue..there is a layer of padding below carpet to help with this as well as sound..but check ur exhaust first..
