The Oil Dipstick?

I bought a 1991 Ford Mustang GT, and the person who i bought it from put BBK shorty headers. And the dipstick for the oil was not bolted down and just hanging out. And i can not find out where it goes? What do i do?

As far as I remember it gets bolted inbetween the header and header bolt.

The dip stick mount, mounts to the header bolt. There is a header bolt that looks like a stud and you just put a nut on it.. Problem solved

i think it is welded to the pan or something from the factory...but it should have a tab that you can put a header bolt through and that will hold it in place on the side of your block. post a pic or somethin

its really hard to see, when your cars cool stick your hand down between cylinders 7 and 8, its under the headers just feel around for a bit, the dipsticks bolted to the 4th header bolt back from the front on cylinder 2

the dipstick tube does bolt to the headers, but that gets in the way when you're changing plugs, i'd recommend bending the tab and bolting it down using a valve cover bolt...
