yea, low end acceleration is up, well seems so in my mind lol. But seriously, everything seems like it picked up. My car was so slow off the line, with the u/ds I've smoked em out after a light turning green once or twice.

They actually decrease the strain the accessories put on your crankshaft, so it frees up some power. By the way, post us a message when your car won't start because the battery's dead.

Yeah, I was going to say that. Just see what happens when you do. Also, give a few quick shots of WD-40 to the serpentine belt and see if that stops the noise.

Watch out with your bolts on you new pully i just had 3 break in my harmonic balancer and it sucked ass majorly. Especially to find the alen key head bolts. (harley davidson shop has the bolts if you ever need them) But I had the same problem with my old Iroc and i just put dawn the dish deturgent on it and it was fine after that but stand clear when you start it it will get in your eyes.

sounds like you speak from experience with the eye thing =p. And no complaints on battery charing so far, I have kept an eye on my voltmeter, it dropped one bar, but from what I understand thats normal. I also have a short in my wiring harness that i cant find, guess when the install my system I'll find out how the pullies worked lol. btw i don't know if you guys saw my other post but a christmas tree fell off a truck and bounced up and smashed my front bumper....i get one thing going and another thing breaks =(

i know this is a old topic but didnt want to start a new one just for my question, underdrive pullies on a carburated 5.0 with no a/c and nothing more then running the lights and what little accesories are in the car and the electric fan, there shouldnt be any problems with them correct and with the addition of them it should increase hp alittle??? thanks for the help im just curious if they work well and is there a difference in brands or thats the only thing different is the name and color of them

So what are you running? Alternator, water pump, power steering pump?

I mean, every little bit of horsepower helps, so if you can find them cheap (ebay) go for it. I'd say getting that electric fan netted you more horse than a whole set of pullies, but the added benefit of pullies is decreased wear on your accessories. Unless of course, you drive like a granny and never push your engine, in which case you're legally obligated to give me your 'stang.
