timing issues

So I finally fixed my random rpm problems due to a bad distributer, however i cant seem to get the timeing right, i had it pretty close because the vehicle started and ran, just slightly rough. i let it idle for about 10 minutes when i noticed it started to smoke just a bit, white smoke. After about 30 seconds of smoking it killed itself, i readjusted the distributer to what looked like perfect, and now i cant even get it started, car continuously turns over. 180 out?

original 5.0 with a brand new remanfactured engine installed this past summer. 1200 miles on it.
