Rocker arms
everyones telling me to get rid of my 1.6 roller rockers for 1.7's. Why is this?

From what I know it's because it will increase valve lift with-out getting a new cam. Or atleast improve valve lift with whatever cam you have.

But i already have an E cam in my car now, so are you saying it would be pointless to switch?

Not at all, I'm saying that with 1.7 RR your lift will be higher than on the cam spec.

i can get you a set of 1.7's used for like $100 i believe is what the guy wanted for them.

be careful cause its gonna put added stress on your springs. people seem to be quick to switch their cam out but then dont upgrade their springs.

with a e cam, some 1.7 rockers and stiff springs would make a few more ponies and add reliability against the dreaded valve float when your running it hard.

1.6's are stock. If you put a set of 1.72's you will increase your stock cam 30 thou. Slight performance advantage, but you will get more hp out of a nice exhaust.
