-No parasitic loss
-ability to turn it on when the vehicle is off (great way to cool it off at the track) Your best bet is to buy one from a 4.6. Factory>aftermarket

It doesn't really matter what kind of car you pull the fans from. But just remember the car that has the bigger motor the electric fan usually pulls more CFM.

and please.. when you wire it up, dont wire it up to a simple toggle switch, use a relay.. 30 amps will melt wires if your not careful

yes if you get an electric fan make sure u use the right gauge wire to do so and use a relay pref a 40amp you can get a relay from radio shack for less then 5 bucks. easy to wire up. only use a connector to the relay dont use a butt connector or electric tape solder any wires you have to tap into.

Mustangmotorsport - Mustangs and a whole lot more! this site has a great write up to control the fan with a temp switch that I am currently installing now. I also found the next site listed below as a great write on how to install the taurus fan on the radiator. I used the set up to control fan from 1st post and mounting fan from second post.
Taurus Fan & Flex-a-lite 33054 VSC: HOW TO DO IT! - Corral Forums Hope this helps. I'll have pics of mine soon to post should be all done this weekend.

for a wireing kit, check out on cj pony parts, or late model retoration. there is everything you need in a nice kite for like $50.
I personally do not like the sensor that sticks into the rad like a meat thermometer. |

the only thing about an electric fan is that is pulls juice from the battery whch makes the alternator work harder, and the alternator is a shit load harder to turn than the stock mechanical fan
