RR question
have a set of 1.7 RR's, dual valve springs, windsor jr heads, e 303 cam. Dont know what RR's they are and im gonna be installing them pretty soon so where do i start on how to adjust them? they are black, white lettering on top that say 1.7 on them (kinda faded off). pedistal (i believe).

You don't have to adjust them since they are pedestal mount. Just torque them down to 20ft/lb. Those might be trickflow or DSS rockers. All made from the same stock no matter where you buy them from. Don't over tighten them because you will crack the pedestal.

ok, its got a bolt, with another hex on the inside to adjust them.. i have all the paperwork for everything on the car.....cept the RR's damnit....

As long as the pushrod length is correct, its 0 lash + 1/2 a turn.

1/2 turn is too much...run between an 1/8 - 1/4 ...watch the actual lifter plunge

A 1/4 is more than enough. You will just have to listen to them once you start driving your car on the street a lot. You will need to readjust them every so often. If you set it to 0 lash then you can get a couple more rpms out of your car, another hundo or so if you are looking for every performance advantage.
