Not directed at you...buuuuuuuttttt...

What I see here are a bunch of 'guesses' at what is wrong with his car. Try this, try that. I pulled my hair out for over 2 years trying to figure this problem out. Engine swaps, ignition swaps, TFI swaps, adding MSD components, stock Ford stuff, aftermarket stuff, wiring harness', EVERYTHING. IM telling you. Its the DAMN computer.

Tell ya what. If you swap it out and it DOESN'T fix the problem, I will send you the money for the computer myself VIA Paypal.

There is a 100% guarantee...

Make sure you get the right Processor for your car.
Phffff.......

I would love to see this....

Dont think there is any one out there that should guarantee something via internet forum.

Unless your physically working on the car .

I really wanna see you buy this guy a computer....

I took my car to a buddy of mine who lives for this kinda stuff... he figured it was the ECU as well. We are going to pull one from one of his "donor" cars and find out this weekend. I don't see what else it could possibly be.

The check engine light went out, and the car drives great otherwise.

It sounds like a problem in the fuel pump circuit which could be why plugging the code scanner in allows the car to start. Its a possible computer or wiring issue but definitely has nothing to do with a tune. Have you checked fuel pressure? You need to do that first when the no start condition occurs since you have already ruled out spark. Did you get any codes when you had the scanner plugged in?

I have seen 3 ppl have this same problem. Listening to all the same fixes and nothing works.

Whatever. I know what is happening, from him having EXACTLY the same problem I had! Take your shitty attitude someplace else.

And I would pay for it. 90-120 bucks isn't that big of a deal to me. I am pretty confident that is the problem otherwise I wouldn't have made the offer.

And WHEN I am right, You can make a public apology for your ignorance...

he posted on here for help, and your post did nothing.

Any suggestions?
And this is the MAIN reason why I believe this is his problem...I had the same thing happen. A Negative ground problem with the battery. Stray voltages when my car was running....missed and ran shitty, and then died 10 seconds later and wouldn't re-start when hot...

It does have to do with the Fuel side. I had a good pump, but for some reason the computer wouldn't fire the injectors when hot. If I had someone cranking on the car and I was f-ing with the injectors...IE plugging and unplugging them in, the car would start to fire and skip and miss. But when I hooked a multimeter up to them...they wouldn't get anything...

Its the computer.

What year did you say it was? 5 speed. Auto? A9L processor? Pinouts changed a little in 93 so make sure you get the proper ECU.

Good luck.
