current project... and i also need some advice on conerting from efi to carb

ok, so i have an 89 lx manual trans 302, i finally got a daily driver and im ready to do a low budget build.

i want to go carb because i dnt like fuel injection but im new to mustangs and im not sure how to convert it, from fuel setup to wiring set up, i more confused about the wiring aspect more then anything, im not sure if im doin 306 or 351 yet but either way it will be carb. so i need to knw like what parts im gonna need and how i do the conversion. i dnt have power windows or anything if tht helps... and i would appreciate as much help as possible and thx in advance. im gonna post some pix from when i started its not much yet because i dnt have alot of time. and i will list some of my questions underneath of this tgx in advans i appreciate as much help as possibke.

What do i do with the stock computer?

How do i set up ignition system inorder to run msd?

what on the fuel side do i have to do to run carb as simple as i can?

well basically i need alot of info pleas help thx

You need:
special fuel injector -> carb fuel pressure regulator
Fuel line (cut off factory fuel injection lines and clamp them on there.. run these to regulator
Older distributor with correct gear for roller cam
Carbed Intake
Carb
New vac lines for off carb
Air cleaner
Run wire for Ignition to distributor

You can pull the whole engine efi harness and computer BUT you will have to wire up a fuel pump relay as the ecu controls it and oil pressure, watertemp and tach will not work.

im doing this right now as a matter of fact this is how i did it. i went to autozone and got a ignition control module, distributor (with steel gear), cap for a 85 mustang with a carb i cna get all the part
#'s later they are on a reciept in the truck.
holley blue fuel pump
fuel lines
odds and ends
the only problem is i think i may stick with efi after all so if you want my carb/ intake let meknow.
1.fuel tank, you can pull out the stock pump and cut a piece of hose to go to the bottom of the tank as a pick up(this is the cheapest way and it works.) or install a sump on the tank. run a holley blue after the filter and then to the carb no regulator need the blue doesnt push that much fuel (unless you stretch the spring)

2.ignition:pretty simple if you just use the stock duraspark system from autozone, just need a lead thats Hot when the key is turning and a hot when the key is in the on position.

Fuel delivery: pretty simple buy your carb and intake and bolt them right on

And that’s about as far as I have gotten with install details I'm currently waiting on the motor to be finished before I decide to stay efi or finish the swap.

looks good to me. but youll want just a cheap regulator. but you dont need a return line.
there is also a sump you can buy to go in place of your existing pump, but then you would have to buy a fuel pump that isnt gavity fed. holley is.

here is a pic of mine before and
after, maybe it will give you some ideas on how to do things.

it comes with instructions, or you can go on jegs and look them up. its not too hard though.
