No crank, manual...Need help

Need help with a car that one of my relatives has. I cant believe I'm asking probably this question for a simple answer. Its just been one of thoses days where I'm drawning a complete blank but, he's having problems with his car not starting. The battery was charged, its a manual transmission. They push started the car and it started. My question is how who you test a Neutral Safety Switch and does the testing procedure apply to all cars with one? Thanks for any help!

Here is a wiring diagram link, should be good for most years.

You have to pull the wire connector off the T5 and short it, it should then bypass the neutral safety switch. Could also be the Clutch switch, needs to be in to start on some years.

Mine does , can't start unless in neutral.
