holley carb question

I have a holley 670 street avenger on my car right now. It was running like shit at WOT, so i decided to rebuild it. I found the problem. the secondary metering block is all corroded with some cracks in the passages.

I have another metering block in perfect condition. but its a primary metering block with a powervalve. can i just block off the power valve and use it for my secondaries?

I'm not sure but I don't think it would hurt to at least try it.
