what auto tranny do i have?

Bought an engine and they threw in a auto tranny. Engine is out of a '81 LTD so I assume so is the tranny. Any way I can identify it? Someone told me its a longer stronger tranny so might I be lucky and have a nice free tranny?

I believe you have a T-5, but head to MGW Limited and confirm.

c4, but it has no overdrive so if you plan on drivin a lot of interstate miles then it'll eat a bit more gas.

a tranny w/ no overdrive will always eat more gas than one w/o...might not be as noticeable as if you had gears but lets be real here who is gonna run the stock 2.73 gears?? I know most people gonna opt at least for 3.55

3:27's are perfect with a C4 and highway use.

an average of 2 miles per gallon is lost from manual to auto. plus the added weight of the auto.
