Good idea or bad idea??

To stroke out a stock 302 or get a different block? Was think about a 331 or a 347. Not sure if the factory block would hold up with it stroked and sprayed.

you can build a 347 stroker and make 500hp N/A so who needs spray. If you want more power you could do a 351 and have extra cubes and a stronger block.

AROUND 700 hp. give or take a few hundred, depending on how its built. 69 blocks are the strongest ones

I have a 351 clev making right at 700 hp on motor to the fly wheel then spraying another 300 BUT!!! I've been through 2 of them all ready so its a bit on the edge. people say a 347 stroker at around 500 hp will split down the middle over time so its a toss up

You are making 700hp to the wheels with a naturally aspirated 351 Cleveland? I think whoever you bought the engine from is pumping you full of shit. You do realize that is about 900hp at the flywheel, right? And then you are spraying 300hp on top of that 900hp.....with a Cleveland block. What kind of car is this in and what does it run? I'd love to see some pictures of this 900hp n/a 351C.

now if he goes with the 351 what else would he haveto swap out? motor mounts, headers, computer... seems like maybe you can build a decent 331 n/a and keep it around 400hp and the stock block should hold up. dunno just my .02 $
