1987 Mustang LX Smog Test Problem

Hello, anyone has any ideas how to get the smog test pass? I currently has after market intake, K&N Filter, no Cats, any trick to this will be helpful. Thanks

yeah. put an H pipe on with Cats. even if you could find away to pass with them off which i doubt. if there is a visual inspection you wont pass that.

Yea get a stock h pipe from the junk yard with cats if you threw your old one away and try it then. If not try to get a CA (California) computer

My car failed SOOOO bad without cats it wasn't funny. It would have taken the right hand of God to make that problem go away. Go buy a new or used setup with cats, bolt it on for the test, then yank it!
